'What I require, I can also provide' with Julia
Break-ups are a nightmare, aren’t they? Once it’s all over, so much energy and attention no longer has a destination. Where does it all go? The answer is ‘inwards’, of course. Deceivingly simple.
And, no, I’m not only talking about the occasional LUSH bath-bomb and face-mask combo. Self-love is not haphazard. It is not passive. It is almost never convenient.
Self-love is deliberate. Self-love is cultivating a safe environment for yourself within yourself, as well as around yourself. It requires introspection, with the aim of self-improvement. It is a journey in developing the ability to be comfortable in your own company. It is holding your own hand when you need it, and reminding yourself to ‘slow down, take your time’. It is making conscious decisions to build habits that strengthen you, allowing you to pursue what you wish to pursue. Self-love is taking a leap of faith in yourself every once in a while, because the reward might be far greater than the fear.
The list goes ever on.
